World Peace and New Years' Blessings

Rome, Italy - Please join us in prayer as we thank God for His many blessings now and in the New Year. Let us be united in solidarity for peace among all nations, in our families and most of all in our hearts. Following is a recent prayer by Pope Benedict XVI to extend our wishes for a Holy and Blessed New Year to you and all.

"May the light of Christmas shine forth anew in the Land where Jesus was born, and inspire Israelis and Palestinians to strive for a just and peaceful coexistence. May the comforting message of the coming of Emmanuel ease the pain and bring consolation amid their trials to the beloved Christian communities in Iraq and throughout the Middle East; may it bring them comfort and hope for the future and bring the leaders of nations to show them effective solidarity. May it also be so for those in Haiti who still suffer in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake and the recent cholera epidemic. May the same hold true not only for those in Colombia and Venezuela, but also in Guatemala and Costa Rica, who recently suffered natural disasters."

Where there is respect and love, there is peace.

Sevil Fletcher, Age 3, Penfield, NY

PENFIELD, N.Y. Celebrating the Feast of the Holy Family this week has increased our prayers and concerns for orphans who are homeless because of natural disasters. Sevil Fletcher, age 3 is one of one thousand and fifty children from Chile who have been placed with new parents in the United States. It is almost a year ago on January 12th that a cataclysmic earthquake changed Sevil's life and thousands of families in Chile.

This Christmas Sevil was given the best gift of all, the gift of a new home and new parents Brian and Emily Fletcher. The Fletchers had prayed a long time for this miracle and recounted how Sevil spent his infancy in a faraway orphanage. Then a miracle happened.
An unprecedented commitment was made by the U.S. government to allow these children in the adoption pipeline to be airlifted swiftly to America even though their paperwork was incomplete. Sevil and many other orphans were flown to the U.S. and placed with adoptive families.

Lord, we thank you for the gift of caring loving families who feet called to adopt a child. Continue to bless all children with a caring home, where they are loved and protected, safe from harms way. Inspire many more caring parents to open their homes to all children in need this Christmas season.

During this holy time of miracles as your Son is born anew in our hearts, remember all your children who need healing and a miracle this Christmas. May the Holy Family at Bethlehem bless all families with peace, wonder and trust in your merciful love. Comfort the sick, heal the suffering and bring joy to all those in need.

As the Christ Child births among us, we send our love and prayers that God's perfect will be done in your lives now and always. May faith, hope and God's abiding love fill your hearts and homes this Christmas season.

Lindsey Schmaing and Constantino

BILLINGS, Montana Lindsey Schmaing, age 25, was in critical condition Tuesday and her husband Steven and another female were under arrest after the victim was shot in the head during an exchange of gunfire between people in two vehicles in a parking lot, police said.
Lord, we pray for Lindsey and all people this day recovering from acts of violence.

Lord, we also lift up Constantino and all souls world wide who are political prisoners this Christmas. Constantino was held in a small cell for years without humane treatment. We thank God Constantino is free this Christmas. It all began with a Christmas note last year with these comforting words: "Constantino, do not be discouraged; we know you are alive." It was signed Monica. Contantino wrote recently: "These words saved my life and my sanity. Eight months later, I was set free."

Lord, we thank you for your grace and the gift of many miracles that have brought positive conclusions to tragic situations over the years. Guide us by your Holy Spirit to be your instruments of Mercy. By your divine presence helps us to restore Faith, renew Hope and enkindle your Divine Love, which is the source of all healing and new life. With endless gratitude and praise we pray ...

The Gift of Life

Advent 2010 - Give the gift of life this Christmas. It is so important to pray for those who are in spiritual need. Often people feel lost, depressed and alone during this sacred time of year. Will you help us do something positive for souls?

First, please pray for all the deceased members of your family and all souls from past ages. By interceding for them you can bless them in so many ways. By remembering them in prayer we all can be united in spirit. The gift of prayer for deceased souls is an eternal gift of love that lasts forever.

Pray for all those who are in need of forgiveness. Bridge differences. Go the extra mile and pray for those who have hurt you and are in need of reconciliation. If we love one another we can create a better world one prayer at a time. Offer the gift of forgiveness, help others and be a source of healing love for all those around you.

Pray for an end to all forms of spiritual death such as those living in mortal sin, those who have chosen to destroy life, and those who have turned away from God and are lost and despairing for any reason. By choosing sin and pride over loving God and neighbor, many people alienate themselves from the life giving experience of knowing God in an intimate way. Sin kills the soul's connection to God and makes hearts become cold and unloving.

Give the gift of life by sharing the Good News that God loves everyone and His Mercy is unconditional. It is never to late to love God and be reconciled to Him. Gift the gift of God's Mercy. Give the Gift of Life.

The Gift of Faith

During this Advent season let us pray for all those who do not believe in God or have lost their faith. Give the gift of Faith this Advent season. Be a witness to those around you who may be searching for God in all the wrong places. In a world full of despair and addictions there is hope and real answers to life's questions. Give the gift of faith by being a witness of hope and love to those around you.

The gift of Eaith is a priceless gift that helps us get through life's trials and turns them to good. Become a messenger of the living Word of God. Love one another; conquer evil with good; comfort the lonely and despairing; be there for the homeless and suffering. Share your spiritual journey with others. Reach out to those in need. Help restore those oppressed by the power of evil. Be an instrument of spiritual intervention. Honor and respect all those God has placed in your life. They are a gift of God for they are an opportunity to love.

Lord, help us to prepare our hearts this Advent and be food for the journey for others. Empower us to be your hands and feet for the needy, your heart for those in need of mercy and your Truth for those searching for you. Help us to build greater zeal for your will in our homes, our Nation and in the World.

Prepare ever heart this Advent for your coming so all nations and peoples may come to know you and reverence your presence. May your light shine through us as we strive to be your instruments of unconditional love. Amen

All Souls Living and Deceased

As the month of November closes we wish to remember all souls living and deceased in need of our prayers, especially the faithfully departed. We lift up all family and friends dear to our hearts. We pray for all souls who were a blessing to us, all souls who have been obandoned or forgotten, those who are suffering from having been led astray by false doctrine or bad example, for those who were devoted to the Eucharist and the Divine Mercy of God, those who had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin, those who promoted devotion to the Sacred Heart, those who are in extreme suffering caused by unrepented sin and unknown faults, those suffering by sins of omission and those souls in most need of Your Divine Mercy.

Oh God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the souls of Thy departed servants the remission of all their sins. In Thy Great Mercy hear our prayers pleading on their behalf that they may obtain pardon, peace and the gift of living in communion and union with Thee, face to face for all eternity.

We pray with thanksgiving for the blessing of their lives among us and for the gift of your promise of eternal life with them world without end. Lord, in You all are one in your Kingdom. With gratitude we pray for ..... (add your own intention) Amen
