Courtney Dabney, Age 17, Dade City, FL

Dade City, FL - Courtney Dabney, age 17, was on her way to pick up her mother at work and was broad sided. The driver's seat ended up in passenger side. Looking at the car, it was hard to believe she survived.

Courtney is in an induced coma with swelling on the brain, has a broken jaw and is missing teeth, a broken pelvis, femur and ankle. Her liver has been bleeding but they think they have stopped that. She may have more injuries but they have been concentrating on stabilizing her.

We are asking for your prayers for Courtney and all teen drivers suffering from injuries this day. Prayer is an eternal gift to souls and a great comfort to families dealing with catastrophic accidents. Be vigilant in prayer as we pray for all those in need during this Advent Season.

Lord, come with your healing love. Draw us closer to your incarnated presence until we are one with You in all things.

Napolean Dzombe, Malawi, Africa

Malawi, Africa - Napolean Dzombe has worked the majority of his life providing the basic necessities for people in Malawi, Africa. Aside from his efforts to help nourish thousands of people, one of his greatest accomplishments was the opening of Blessings Hospital, a facility for people in a region of Malawi to receive medical attention.

During the drought of 2001-2002, Napoleon Dzombe saved more than 20,000 lives through his Farming Incentive Progam. Blessings Hospital has treated over 40,000 patients and supplies 56 other medical facilities in Malawi.
Over 35,000 farmers have received articles of clothing after following Napoleon's agriculture incentive program.

Napolean recently asked for our help and prayers:

"We have several projects going on at Blessings Complex. We have started an orphan village of which will accommodate 570 children when it's complete. As of today, we have 53 children and by the end of this year, over 100 children will be housed at Mtendere ("a place of peace") Orphan Village. We would like to construct some classrooms for these children..."

Lord, we thank you for Napolean and generous souls like him, whose efforts have improved the quality of life for so many. Raise up more devoted generous servants to work in your vineyard. Continue to bless your Missionaries with the spiritual and fiscal support they need. May your kingdom come through the work of all those dedicated to the service of the poor, the sick and the homeless.

Emma, Age 6, Boston, MA

Boston, MA - Emma is a 6 year old survivor of cancer and beams with hope. Her acute lymphoblast lymphoma is in remisson thanks to her care at Saint Jude's Childrens Hospital.

Emma's family is grateful for the support of St Jude donors. "Part of what gets me through this is the relief of financial burden," said Emma's mom. "The people who are supporting St. Jude are helping to save lives."

Emma is able to receive most of her treatment at a St. Jude affiliate near her family's home. She's responded well to treatment and her cancer continues to be in remission. Emma likes to dress up in her princess crown and glass slippers, and loves to build things out of wood using her own miniature tools.

Help us continue our prayer support for Emma and children like her. Be a prayer life-line for children everywhere. Pray for all brave warriors under ten that you know. They are our hope for the future; they are dealing with their health one day at a time. Pray for a child each day and make a world of loving support a reality. God is calling all of us to make a difference by being a source of hope. Pray with commitment and compassion. Celebrate the gift of hope with all the children in your life for hope is another way of loving.

Alan Veteran 2003

Washington, DC - Alan is one of thousands of wounded veterans who have received assistance and support for being seriously wounded in 2003. Today as we celebrate Veterans' Day, let us lift up in prayer Alan and all veterans living and deceased who have given their lives and health to defend freedom and liberty for all peoples.

Through the intercession of Saint Martin Of Tours, who was a soldier, a monk and Bishop, we ask for abiding peace and rest for all veterans and their families. We offer this blessing of Active and Retired Service Men and Women as a symbol of our love and support:

"O God of Mercy, we beg You to protect in a special way those who are or have fought for our country. Bless them and take care of them in times of trial and danger. Continue to give them strength and courage in all that they do. If they are wounded and suffering, give them comfort. If they are lonely, touch them with your divine hand so they may know the healing comfort of your Divine Presence. If it be your Holy will that they should give up their lives, grant them a peaceful death and eternal rest in your heavenly kingdom. Hasten the day, dear Lord, when we may all enjoy the blessings of peace once more and eternal oneness in your kingdom. Amen"

R.C. Dries Recovery

Phoenix, AZ - November is the time of year when we take time to thank God for our blessings. We thank God for the many answered prayers received by our ipraytoday.com web family. We praise God especially for the steady recovery of 6th grader R. C. Dries, who suffered from a gun shot wound two months ago.

R.C. is now talking and conversing with family. He even drew a detailed picture of one of his dogs! He recently managed to stand on his own and played educational interactive games. He is on a soft food diet and can feed himself. He recently asked when he could go home. His immediate goals are to eat regular foods and begin walking.

R.C. is in physical therapy and is getting stronger every day. The doctors continue to be amazed and agree there is no medical explanation for his dramatic recovery. The family attributes his fast recovery to all our prayers. The Dries family are very thankful for all their blessings.

Lord, we thank you for your daily miracles great and small. Continue to direct our lives with your Truth, Wisdom and Healing Mercy. With endless gratitude we pray for all Nations and peoples, our Country and it's leaders, and our homes and all our families. Make us one in your Trinity of love.

Venite Single Mother of Four

Port-au-Prince, Haiti - Venite and her four children are among more than 1 million survivors living in sprawling tent cities. So many of them are suffering from spiritually debilitating diseases such as fear, futility, anger, resentment and hopelessness. Their homes are in ruins, their children are scared and hungry and they have no clean drinking water. Lord, bless the Haitian people with your abundant Mercy. Multiply and increase the good works of Mercy Corp and other relief agencies, as they try to bring hope and a new future to the poor, the sick and the dying. Grant them the resources they need to make a difference and bless their life-giving efforts always.

Lord, we also pray for those with physically debilitating diseases such as MS, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue, RA, Chronic Obstructive Pulminary Disease, Muscular Dystrophy, Fibromyalgia and others. Inspire research to find new cures, strengthen those that suffer with your healing presence and increase the faith, hope and charity of all your suffering children. Console them in their time of need. Please remember in a special way_______(add your own intention) as we meditate on this prayer of Saint Francis De Sales:

"Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow; the same Everlasting Father Who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations."

All Saints Living and Deceased

All Saints and All Souls Day 2011 - We call to mind in prayer all those holy persons we know that are living or deceased. We thank God for these holy virtuous souls that have encouraged our spiritual journey by their example and way of life. We thank God for all those who have blessed our life in thought, word or deed. Lord, increase holy souls among us. Help us to live according to your truth and wisdom so that we may live among the saints in this life and the next.

We specifically pray for _________ (please add your intention). May the lives of the Saints continue to mirror heaven on earth and give all souls hope of the beatific vision of living in the Divine Presence always. Oh, Lord ..."thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Lord, grant all the faithfully departed eternal rest and life in your kingdom.

"With the Saints give rest O Lord, to the souls of Your servants where there is no pain, no sorrow, no sighing but everlasting life." (Byzantine Liturgy)
